Inside Engine Room

The engine room hull section were in good condition, lots of oil over the years have protected the steel from corrosion. The photo shows the engine still in situ.

This is the forward prop tube bearing, the bearings in the propeller tube are in good condition, they have been permanently bathed in oil and are perfectly serviceable.

View looking down into the old engine room access hatch, this will all be removed later when the new deck/cockpit area is fabricated.

Old Perkins engine removed, the area directly under the motor is all good, plenty of old engine oil kept this area in good condition.

The area under the engine is in good condition, the flat areas you can see here all filled with concrete for ballast. It’s all still nice and solid.
